News feed taken from ITN – Wednesday, February 27 06:38 am

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale has hit England. It was the UK’s largest quake since 1984 when an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook the Lleyn Peninsula of north Wales.

A man was injured in South Yorkshire when a chimney fell though his bedroom ceiling while many homes and business have also been damaged. The epicentre of the earthquake was near Market Rasen in Lincolnshire, but many people across England reported feeling the shaking shortly before 1am.

One man from Hartlepool said he was woken when the tremor made his sofa shake against his bedroom wall. He said: “I thought someone was banging on the wall behind me but there was no-one there.”
East Midlands Ambulance Service – which serves the Lincolnshire area – said they had received many emergency calls although nobody was injured.

A spokesman said: “Most of them were from elderly people who were quite frightened.”

The British Geological Survey said the centre was 8km east of Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, and 22km south west of Grimsby. Seismologist Dr Brian Baptie of the BGS said: “This is a significant earthquake for the UK and will have been widely felt across England and Wales.”

Okay, my foster dad passed away last this evening, at about 7pm, which was really really sad. He was 72 and suffered a massive heart attack, which killed him sadly. He had been rushed in originally with a semi-mild heart attack, but had a more serious one later on.

So, looks like I’ll be attanding yet another funeral and having to help sort things out. In better news, I got a new phone, the Sony Ericsson W910i; which is better for my needs. Also I do have Internet access here, but it is a case of catching me at the moment, with everything that is going on. I suggest that you email me should you require my services urgentltly. My email address is below :

(aaron_josh_bennett@yahoo.co.uk)

Oh I also forgot to mention that my mobile number is still the same as it was before I got my new phone and it works now as well! It seemed to be a issue with my old Sony Erisson W810i, but now I have my new phone; it works a treat and I can be contacted again on my mobile :) Please email me if you do not have my mobile number and need it for legiment reasons.

I am so tired, so I am gunna have a smoke and go to bed. Goodnight folks!

I shall be out of touch for a few days, due to a family emergency. Therefore, I shall be driving home to Canterbury tonight, to spend time with my family and deal with any other arrangements and loose ends that need tying up.

Due to this, I shall have very limited access to the Internet. I am taking my desktop PC, so that I can connect to the LAN at home, but I won’t be online as much as I usually am, as I will be at the hospital most of the time. If I am needed, please drop me an email to either my Yahoo Mail Account: aaron_josh_bennett@yahoo.co.uk, my Hotmail account: aaron_josh_bennett@hotmail.co.uk or leave me a offline message on my MSN or Yahoo IM Accounts.

Things are going to take time to be sorted out, but I am sure that I will be back to my regular routine again very soon.

Thankyou for your understanding during such a difficult period.

From The First Day At Work Department

the first day at work went very well, (I now work for Youth Voices FM as the station Manager) apart from i was locked out the studio for 30 minutes, as Bruce had forgotton to give me the studio key as well as the key to reception!  Anyway, once that was sorted, I pulled the studio apart, well and truely. I will have to post some pics, as the studio doesn’t look the same any more. I took down all the shelves, dumped all the rubbish in Studio Reception (Even though the cleaners are putting up a protest, due to the mess!)

There is still a long way to go with the studio refurbishment, as we still have the following jobs still outstanding:

  • nstalling a flashing beacon to warn us that the fire alarm is sounding.

  • Updating our fire fighting equipment

  • Installing more power sockets

  • Re-carpeting the studio

  • Redecorating the studio

  • Installing a up to date computer network

  • The works on the Computer Network are starting after the weekend, when the server is going to be installed and setup. This is a major job and will take several days to setup. The server room itself is located in the studio at the moment, sue to the lack of space. I am planning to move the servers onto the shelves (as they are not that heavy) and will be out the way, but will allow me to remotely control them from a workstation, using SSH (Secure Socket Handler) However, I am going to need to get some longer network cables to connect the network equiptment.

I am not sure when the electrical work will comence, but I do know that it is a high priority, as everything is on 4 extention cords, which are connected in such a way, that it makes them dangerous! So I have moaned at bruce to get it done ASAP. The same goes for the flashing alarm beacon as well.

I’llkeep you up to date on what’s happening :)

Okay, I decided to go to the pub this afternoon for a pint. I went in, ordered a pint and started chatting to the bar staff. I had put my hand on the bar and then started to cough. I put my hand to my mouth, not realising that someone had been eating nuts at the bar and started to have a Anaphalaptic Reaction.

Anaphylaxis is an acute systemic (multi-system) and severe Type I Hypersensitivity allergic reaction in humans and other mammals. The term comes from the Greek words ανα ana (against) and φύλαξις phylaxis (protection) Anaphylaxis occurs when a person or animal is exposed to a trigger substance, called an allergen, to which they have already become sensitized. Minute amounts of allergens may cause a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction. Anaphylaxis may occur after ingestion, skin contact, injection of an allergen or, in rare cases, inhalation.

Lucky, someone in the pub came to my aid and grabbed their Epi-Pen (Even though I carry one) and reversed the reation before it took hold. I didn’t need hospital treatment, because it was controlled before the reaction could properly take hold. I am OK now, but I know not to touch the bar from now on!

Okay,  firstly; I would like to appologise for the lack of posts in a while, so I’ll post a quick update before I get onto buisness. Rhys and I didn’t work out, so I ended back in York, where I was in a very dangerous situation. However, I met a new fella and moved in with him and as the top image shows, I am now just outside  Newcastle.

Anyway, Yesterday started OK, I went to see my partner’s brother with him and met his girlfriend Claire, we came back home to only find June (Mother in law) had phoned and said the police had turned up at her house looking for me. So we rang North Tyneside Police, who had no idea what this was about and suggested that we ring Yorkshire Police, as that was where the report had come from. North Yorkshire said they would find out and ring us back. They spoke to me and said my foster sister (Hannah) and my foster mum (June) {Please note: This is not the same June} had reported me missing. The police were happy to know I was OK and popped over to check that I was OK. Meanwhile my boyfriend had got pissed and was lying on the sofa bed when the police had turned up. I have spoken to June and Hannah on the phone so that’s OK and I understand why they had to report me missing.

Later on, I decided to take a bath, however the metal soap holder fell in the bath and made a crash, so I had a knock on the door to see if I was OK. I had my bath, got out, dried myself  and was cleaning out the bath, when the shower curtain fell down and smacked me on the head! I collapsed on the floor, shouted for help, so Gav had to come and help me! After that I lyed in bed watching the Vicar of Dibley on DVD, so that’s Good and it is good I wasn’t hurt!

What a day! Life’s a bitch but you get on with it, especially when I had a styud muffin like Gavin!
